Know Before You Go! You have probably heard by now that the library is open for limited browsing – but what does that mean in the Children’s Room?
Here are our current guidelines:
- One family is allowed in the Children’s Room at a time so you can have the flexibility to look around without worrying about social distancing from other people (except the librarian!).
- Everyone over the age of two is required to wear a mask covering their mouth and nose while in the library.
- Hand sanitizer is available. We ask that you sanitize your hands when you come into the Children’s Room.
- Please browse with your eyes first. As much as possible, please only touch the items that you plan to take home. If you do pull something out that you decide not to take, please leave it in the labeled baskets available throughout the Children’s Room.
- A librarian will be available to make recommendations or tell you more about a book or series to help minimize the books you need to remove from the shelf unnecessarily.
- Children are welcome to come in, but there are no toys, puzzles, or computers available.
- There are no in-house programs. We do not know when regular programming will resume, but check out our Virtual Storytimes (look for an exciting new mini-series in October!) and keep an eye on our Events page for occasional take-home or virtual programming that might pop up!
