Ames Free Library Board of Directors

The Ames Free Library is a charitable organization serving as Easton’s public library. The Corporation is managed by a Board of Directors composed of 6 elected corporate directors and 3 directors appointed by the Easton Select Board. All 9 directors have equal voting rights, and support the library by setting policy aligned with the library’s mission of being a learning and educational center for the community.

The Board of Directors generally meet on the third Tuesday of each month at 5:30 pm in Queset House; please see the library’s event calendar or Easton’s calendar for the exact date, time, and location of an upcoming meeting. Ames Free Library Building & Endowment Directors

All matters relating to the Corporation’s buildings and grounds, any other real estate, and invested assets are managed by the Building and Endowment Directors, which is composed of elected corporate directors. The Building and Endowment Directors collaborate with the Ames Free Library Board of Directors on all major decisions, but retain exclusive voting rights over the areas outlined above.
