Queset Garden Concert Series

Ames Free Library’s Queset Garden Concert Series returns for its ninth season!

Concerts will be held on select Thursdays from June 25, 2026 through September 3, 2026. All shows are held in Queset Garden starting at 6:30 PM. (Please note the time change from previous years.)

  • June 25: Sharon Concert Band
    concert run time: 90 minutes
     
  • July 2: Sinner's Pie
    concert run time: 90 minutes
     
  • July 16: Bailey Street Brass
    concert run time: 75 minutes 
    funded in part by a grant from the Easton Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency
     
  • July 23: Little Miss & the Boom
    concert run time: 2 hours
     
  • July 30: Lewis & Ferri: The Coffeehouse
    concert run time: 75 minutes 
    funded in part by a grant from the Easton Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency. Remaining funding is provided by Frothingham Hall.
     
  • August 6: Matt Borrello & Guest
    concert run time: 2 hours
     
  • August 20: Billy & the Jets trio
    concert run time: 2 hours
    funded by the Friends of Ames Free Library
     
  • August 27: Emily Sclar
     
  • September 3: Matt York: Stories & Songs of Cash & Dylan
    concert time: 60 minutes
    funded by a grant from the Easton Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency
     

Shows are canceled in case of inclement weather; some shows may be rescheduled at the discretion of the performer.

Concert series shows are family-friendly and fun for all ages, so bring your kids, neighbors, and friends! All seating is lawn seating; bring your own blanket or chair. Picnics, non-alcoholic drinks, and snacks welcome. Concerts are free and open to all.

Please note that for concerts that run past 8 PM (90 minutes or longer), the library will be closed before the show is over. There will be no restrooms or amenities available at the end of the show.
