The Ames Free Library owns a range of newspaper back issues that cover the Easton area:

Easton Journal

  • Jan-June 1994 through Jan-June 2015 (bound physical holdings)
  • July 2015-Dec 2016 (boxed physical holdings)
  • For 2017-2018 digital access (in-Library use only), these are searchable under the "Easton Journal" entry on our Research page
Easton Bulletin (all are physical holdings)
  • 1931-1932
  • 1949-1966
  • May-June 1993 through March 1999
If you are interested in browsing our physical holdings, you are welcome to come in and we will bring them downstairs for you.
If you are researching area history or genealogy and need information not covered by our holdings, we recommend contacting the Brockton Public Library, which has microfilm holdings of local newspapers dating back to the 1850's and 1880's.
Another good source for local history searches is our Ancestry Library Edition database, which is accessible from within the Library. Please come visit us to start searching!
You are welcome to contact us here at the Reference desk at, or 508-238-2000, ext. 3 if you have any other questions! We will do our best to help you out.
