Remember a few years ago when you participated in Read & Bead here at the library? Now that you're older, we know cool beads and awesome trading cards might not be enough of an incentive to keep you reading all summer, so we've got some awesome prizes you can enter raffles to win. From June 25, 2026 through August 31, 2026, those between the ages of 12 and 18 are invited to participate in our Plant a Seed, Read summer reading program for teens on ReadSquared! Visit amesfreelibrary.readsquared.com to register!
Earning Points
- For every 1 minute of reading that you log, you will earn 1 point. Whether you're reading a physical book, an eBook, listening to an audiobook, or reading a picture book aloud to younger relatives or children you babysit, you can count those minutes as reading!
- Write a book review for a book you just finished! For every 1 book review you write, you'll earn 100 points.
Redeeming Points
Every 100 points you earn will entitle you to purchase an entry for one of our awesome raffle prizes! You may buy entries for as many prize raffles as you'd like, but no one will be able to win more than one prize. Keep an eye on your email at the beginning of September to find out if you won a prize!
There may be opportunities for smaller prizes throughout the summer. Keep an eye on your email and the ReadSquared app for information about those!
