Take and Make Craft: DIY Pizza Box Solar Oven

The 2024 Total Eclipse is almost here! Did you know that you can directly use solar power to cook food? This STEM activity is both earth friendly and great for learning about the free energy source of the sun.

Families are invited to make a DIY solar oven to use the Sun’s energy to make tasty treats with a simple pizza box solar oven! Go outside and get cooking! Recipes for Solar S'mores and Nachos are included. Pizza boxes are available for pickup at the Reference Desk. Specialty supplies and directions to complete the craft are included. You may need to provide markers, scissors, or tape.

Note: Adult supervision is required.

Craft kits will be available to pick up at the Reference Desk on Friday, April 5 from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

One kit per family, please. Available while supplies last.
