The Ames Free Library Book Club has two meeting options every month. We welcome all new members! Subscribe to the "AFL Book Club" e-newsletter to receive book club reminders and updates.
If you're unable to attend this meeting in person, we're happy to offer a hybrid meeting option! Contact the library at info@amesfreelibrary.org or 508-238-2000, ext. 3 and we will provide a Zoom link. Please note that we require at least 24 hours notice.
In the summer at AFL, BYOB stands for "Bring Your Own Book"! Join one of our special summer sessions of the Ames Free Library Book Club to chat about your recent reads or an all time favorite. There is no assigned reading in the summer! We'll get together to swap recommendations and share a few laughs.
Come to the meeting prepared with the following info about the book (or books) you want to talk about:
- Title
- Author
- Plot (spoiler free!)
- What you liked or disliked about it (ex: characters, writing style, pacing, etc.)
- Did you like it and would you recommend it?
