Call NRS Crisis Intervention hotline at 1-800-RUNAWAY, or access chat, email, or forums through their website. Staff are available 24/7, 365 days a year to provide nonjudgmental, non-sectarian and non-directive support and to empower youth and families to develop a plan of action to improve their situation. NRS services include information and referrals to counseling, shelter, drug and alcohol-related treatment, and child protective services. Conference calls can be arranged between children and their families, or an agency that can help. A message service provides a means of communication for young people who are not ready to directly contact their families. NRS is also able to arrange free bus rides home or to an alternate living arrangement.
