Theresa Mackiewicz author presentation: Dyslexia

Join special education teacher and author Theresa Mackiewicz for a presentation on dyslexia. She will feature her book Helen, which will be available for sale and for signing after the presentation.

In Helen, Helen has a superpower which is a photographic memory. She struggles with reading because of her dyslexia. Mrs. Sunshine is back again helping Helen find new strategies for her reading.

Theresa Mackiewicz’s mission is to help students who struggle and to guide children by examples set in her social stories. Theresa is a special education teacher and a multi-award-winning author. She is passionate about giving back to the communities through her Mrs. Sunshine series and her artwork. Theresa has done multiple book signings, and television and podcast interviews both in the United States and internationally. Currently, she is collaborating with the Honey Dew Team in a multi-location effort to reach more children. Theresa continues to accomplish all of this and more, all while being a proud mother of twin boys and the wife of a Coast Guard Officer.
