Chasing the Moon's Shadow: Your Guide to the 2024 Solar Eclipse

Get ready for a fantastic family experience, just two weeks before the Great North American Eclipse of 2024 on April 8! The stage is set for a captivating presentation that will delight family members of all ages. NASA Solar System Ambassador Pat Monteith will take families on a journey through the upcoming eclipse. Using a mix of exciting visuals, interactive elements, and easy-to-understand explanations, the presentation unfolds the magic of the Earth, Moon, and Sun dancing together in the sky. Pat will explain the science behind the eclipse, making it fun and fascinating for kids and adults alike. There's a special focus on the unique aspects of this particular eclipse since more than 90% of the sun will be blocked by the moon in the Boston area; this won’t happen again for another 40 years!

All participants will receive a pair of authorized eclipse safety viewing glasses. Maximum 2 per family.
