Youth Summer Reading List 2020

YOUTH SUMMER READING LIST 2020

Are you ready to read? Check for your school below to find your summer reading information. Then be sure to sign up for the Youth Summer Reading Program, so you can "Read and Bead" an awesome necklace or keychain!

6th-8th Graders at Easton Middle School

All students entering grades 6-8 are participating in the “One School, One Book” summer reading initiative, and will be reading New Kid by Jerry Craft! Visit our catalog to place your hold, or download it from Overdrive or Hoopla Digital. (For more information on these services, including video tutorials, please visit our Downloads page.)

3rd-5th Graders at Richardson Olmsted Elementary

Read at least TWO books of YOUR choice! (If you’re stumped for ideas, ask Miss Jess in Youth Services for suggestions.) You will have two half-page writing prompts. Although we do not yet have a 2020 packet, feel free to reference the "Summer Reading for RO Students" information packet from 2019 (please disregard references to "third graders" - this information applies to ALL grades, 3-5). Visit our catalog to place your holds. You can also download kids' titles from OverdriveLibby, and Hoopla Digital, or use our Library's Tumblebooks subscription! (For more information on these services, including video tutorials, please visit our Downloads page.)

Kindergarten through 2nd Graders

Center School Elementary, Moreau Hall Elementary, and Parkview Elementary are encouraged to read, read, READ! Join the library's Read and Bead program to earn beads while you track time spent reading. Visit our catalog to place your holds. You can also download kids' titles from Overdrive, Libby, and Hoopla Digital, or use our Library's Tumblebooks subscription!
