Paws to Read

This Summer, we’ve got the ulti-mutt program for animal lovers: Paws to Read! Each week in July & August, Regan and her therapy dogs, Cali and Laddie, will be visiting the Library. And what do her Anatolian Shepherds love more than anything else in the world (except maybe treats)? They adore being read to! Register in advance for a 15-minute session with a furry friend and practice your reading skills in front of a rapt, nonjudgmental audience. This program is for independent readers.

When your registration is complete, we will email you with your exact appointment time. Keep an eye on your email in the following days. We will be keeping a strict schedule, so please arrive 5-10 minutes early. Bring a book or two with you, or choose from our curated selection of picture and chapter books upon arrival at Queset House.

Fine-Print: We expect these reading sessions to be very pup-ular! Registration is required and will open weekly on the prior Saturday. If you’re able to snag a spot, thank your lucky paws! Then, please take a break the following week before registering again. When we notice repeat registrations (without the requested break), you will be contacted and your registration made forfeit. Spots are limited and we want to extend this opportunity to as many families as possible. For this reason, we also have a strict cancelation policy. If you miss an appointment, you will not be permitted to register again until the following month. Thank you!

Registration for reading appointments on Thursday, August 18th, will open below beginning on Saturday, August 13th at 10am.
