Lego your boredom and come to the coolest block party in town! Each weekly meeting will begin with a frenzied quick-build to get brains and fingers fired up. Kids will spend the rest of the hour making wild creations in response to a themed challenge. Every child will receive a personal kit of basic buiding blocks to use for the day at the start of each meeting, then dig through a huge collection of spare parts for specialty pieces. At the end of the hour, sculptures will be photographed before deconstruction. Polaroid photos will be displayed on a bulletin board, along with the builder's first name, in the Youth Services Department for all to admire.
Block Party is a weekly, drop-in program, which takes place every Wednesday at 2pm. No invitiation, RSVP, or registration required. Meetings will be in the 2nd Floor Conference Room at the Queset House. All ages and families are welcome.
