- Lynda.com, which has over 4,000 video courses on such wide ranging subjects as entrepreneurship to photography to excel sheets to video recording. And thanks to the Ames Free Library, you get access to Lynda.com in all its glory FOR FREE.
- Facebook; want to get on the bandwagon and join the crowd? Or do you already have an account but aren't quite comfortable using it yet? Dana will show you the ins and outs of connecting with friends and family on Facebook.
- Converting VHS to Digital. Wondering what to do with all those old home movies on VHS cassette? We'll will show you how to convert them into digital files with the library’s nifty little converter. You'll need to bring in your VHS tape(s) and a flash drive of at least 4 GB; drives are available for purchase in the Queset Office. Please keep in mind that the converter works in real-time, so if you have a 45 minute home movie it will take 45 minutes to complete.
- Selling on eBay. Do you have some awesome stuff you're looking to sell online? Then bring yourself and your treasures down to Queset House so that Dana can show you how to become a seller on eBay. From setting up your account, to taking flattering photos of your items, Dana and the Queset House have the skills and tools to get you selling in no time!
