Frederick Law Olmsted & The Massachusetts Legacy

Frederick Law Olmsted is popularly considered to be the father of American landscape architecture. The firm Olmsted founded over a century ago has created over 1,200 landscape projects throughout Massachusetts, ranging from expansive 500-acre parks to intimate spaces such as Easton's iconic Rockery.
ALAN S. BANKS has spent almost three decades researching and developing a variety of walking tours, slide lectures and presentations on Olmsted and their works. This one-hour slide lecture will sample Olmsted's rich landscape legacy.
