"Where the Community Connects"

Once Upon A Startup: Writing Workshops with Kate Klise

“I am convinced that finding and telling a company’s story with clear language and clean sentences is the way to connect with investors, strategic partners, the media, and customers.”

Bank of England staffers are studying Dr. Seuss books to improve their writing skills. Author-in-residence KATE KLISE will be doing something similar. Kate will help innovative entrepreneurs and business owners find and tell their business plans by writing simple children’s books!

This not-to-be-missed opportunity is free and open to all. Weekly attendance not required. Drop-ins are welcome. Kate sends out a special invitation to women entrepreneurs.

Kate Klise has written 30 books and led writing workshops for aspiring authors of all ages and levels. She enjoys sharing her tips and tricks of the trade. She will also be available to help anyone trying to start or finish a writing project, including high school seniors working on their college essays. To book a free appointment in August with Ames Free Library’s visiting author Kate Klise, call (417) 259-1425.
