Current hours: Monday - Wednesday & Friday - Saturday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Thursday 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.

  • Visits are limited to a maximum of 45 minutes per person.
  • Total occupancy in the building is limited to 10 visitors at any given time, so short waits outside may be necessary.

Please note - due to the pandemic the Friends are NOT currently accepting book donations at the library. However we do need books that are in good shape to stock our on-going book stores so if you have relatively new books in good condition either adult or children’s please send an e-mail to and we can arrange to pick them up.


Friends of Sharon Public Library (current as of 3/31/2021)

Friends of the Sharon Public Library are accepting BOOKS ONLY which can be dropped off at the Sharon Shaw's Plaza in the book collection bins (700 South Main Street, near the KinderCare side of the parking lot).  Donation guidelines here. For more information, please see

Curbside pickup offered by Simple Recycling - you may request bags or sticker labels. Pickups will take place on your regular recycling day.
