Storytime online

Miss Jess is hosting a variation of our weekly storytimes! These sessions will look a little different than our library storytimes, but we want to help you keep up your regular routines. Each day will feature your familiar songs & rhymes, along with a few ideas to keep you reading at home. You can now find us on ECAT (Comcast 97, Verizon 24) at our regularly scheduled times, or click here to go straight to the videos.

N5B: Harry Potter

I'm going to give it to you straight: you may never find another series like the Harry Potter books. They are cornerstones for modern literature that create a detailed world of right and wrong in the most amazing, descriptive way. They are such a cultural phenonenon that children have been waiting around for their Hogwarts letter since their eleventh birthday, wondering if there was some sort of mixup.

N5B: A Series of Unfortunate Events

A Series of Unfortunate Events just premiered on Netflix and it has everyone talking about the modern classic book series again! A Bad Beginning was first published in 1999, but these books do not feel 20 years old, and their popularity seems to keep increasing. I'll admit I only intended to read the first book in the series in order to get a feeling for them, but in no time I was pushing people out of the way to get my hands on the other 12 books!
