Program Updates: Storytime

If you’ve somehow missed it, here’s your reminder to check out our virtual storytimes! It’s been hard not being able to see our favorite smiling faces every week, but we’re trying to keep your kiddos engaged with some online entertainment instead. If you’re a storytime regular, you’ll find a lot of familiar content along with familiar faces. If you haven’t been to storytime before, welcome! Now’s the time to check it out! There is a version of each regularly scheduled storytime updated every week.

  • Monday Stories and Songs is hosted by Miss Alyisha (from AFL’s Circulation Department), who has created an exciting exploration of traditional folk and fairy tales every week!
  • Tuesday Wiggleworms continues with Miss Jess, including tips for accessing books online and revisiting your favorite songs – we still have a Little Red Wagon ride to open storytime, and the little fishies bubble their way up before the end!
  • Wednesday Babytime is perfect for an online presentation, as Miss Jess demonstrates rhymes, songs, and bounces to share with your baby with the help of her “baby,” Freddie Bear.
  • Thursday Family Storytime also follows our regular patterns as Miss Jess takes you through familiar songs & rhymes as well introducing some ebook ideas for you to check out.

All storytimes are also scheduled to air on ECAT (Comcast 9, Verizon 22) at their regular times (storytimes run at 10:30 AM on their respective days). If you use the links above to access storytimes, don’t forget to explore the avenues for online stories and non-fiction books while you’re there!
