The Ames Free Library subscribes to Live Homework Help, an online tutoring service that connects students in 4th through 12th grade (and college intro, too) with expert tutors. Live Homework Help tutors are certified teachers, university professors, graduate school students, college students, and professionals who are experts in their fields.

Students are welcome to log in to Live Homework Help and speak with a tutor – via an online chat session -- in their subject of choice and at their grade level. Access is available from home for Easton library card holders or from the Library reading room computers for students in 4th through 12th grade.

Live Homework Help tutors are available to help students in the following subjects:

Math
General math, geometry, algebra, trigonometry, calculus, proofs, formulas, statistics, word problems, standardized test questions, nightly homework,
review of answers

Science
General science, biology, physics, chemistry, topic choices for science projects, proofreading of lab reports and papers, explanation of definitions from textbooks, review for exams.

Social Studies
Explanation and discussion of concepts, proofreading, bibliography and footnote format review.

English
Grammar, literature discussion, topic choices, proofreading

Live Homework Help is open from 4:00 to 9:00 pm seven days a week. All tutoring sessions last approximately 20 minutes.
