This guys-centered blog reviews fiction, non-fiction, and graphic novels.  The books recommended range from soon-to-be-published to cool classics.  Their motto:  “Helping you find the reading material YOU want.”

This girl-centered site features a different author each month, with interviews, book discussion questions, author-picked playlists, and even “Party It Up” ideas for DIY projects and activities related to the month’s books.

Teen Fire
Teen Fire is a teen social networking site with a focus on Young Adult books.  It’s a great way to interact with other teen readers, and since the site is run by a publishing imprint it offers ways to get involved in the publishing process with choose-the-cover contests, book giveaways, author chats, book trailer competitions, and the like.  

60 Second Recap
Classic literature has never been so fun!  Watch hilarious and surprisingly useful 60 second videos covering plot, characters, themes of featured books—mostly “classics” but also some recent teen fiction. Plus you’ll find videos explaining literary terms and even a series about how to “Write a Paper that Won’t Put Your Teacher to Sleep.”
